The oval, given some weight
A thin oval reads delicate. This one is the opposite: the material is carried well beyond the lens all the way round, and the lens itself is cut almost as tall as it is wide. The result sits on the face like a mask rather than a pair of glasses, which is exactly what the shape is bought for.

Thick all the way round
The front is moulded in one piece with the bridge, so there is no metal anywhere on the face of the frame. The material is thick across the brow, thick at the outer corner and stepped where it meets the nose, and the oval opening is cut tall rather than wide.
The temples are wide flat arms that taper slightly towards the tip, hinged at the outer corner where the front is at its heaviest. Nothing is applied and nothing is printed — the colour of the material is the whole finish.
The maker states a high-quality PC frame, chosen for impact and pressure resistance rather than for weight.

Polarisation is not stated for this model, so we do not claim it. The lenses are a solid dark tint rather than a gradient.
Three colourways, one front
All three use the same front and the same dark lens; only the colour of the material changes.
Why it costs what it costs
Moulding a front this thick uses more material than a slim frame and every edge has to be finished and polished by hand afterwards. The maker specifies a high-impact PC rather than the cheapest plastic that will hold the shape. None of that is where the usual shelf price comes from.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between the frame and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price. What that money pays for instead is the build — a thick moulded front and a stated UV400 lens, on all three colours.

How big is this frame?
The maker states a 55 mm lens width, 49 mm lens height, 22 mm bridge and 145 mm temples. That is a medium width with an unusually tall lens, which is what gives it the oversized look.
Are the nose pads adjustable?
No. The bridge is moulded into the front at 22 mm, so the height on the nose is fixed by the design.
Are these polarised?
The maker states UV400 protection but does not state polarisation, so we do not claim it. UV400 is the protection figure; polarisation is a separate comfort feature.
Is PC the same as acetate?
No. PC is moulded rather than cut from sheet, and it takes an impact better than acetate does. Acetate holds a richer colour; PC holds a knock.
Will the cream finish mark?
A pale frame shows a mark more readily than a dark one, but it is surface only and lifts with a cloth. Keeping the pair in its case is what makes the difference.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with a soft cloth. Keep the frame away from heat — a car dashboard in summer is what warps a plastic frame, not wear.

Each finish is held in a small run. The cream is the one that goes first, and when a colourway goes it is not always brought back.
