Black frame, gold punctuation
The front is as plain as a rectangle gets — no pattern, no contrast, no bevel worth mentioning. All the decision-making sits on the temple, where a gold geometric block is set into the black. From the front you see a clean line; from the side you see the piece of jewellery it actually is.

Plain front, worked temple
The front is moulded in a high-impact PC with the bridge formed into it, cut as a narrow rectangle and kept flat across the brow. There is no metal on the face of the frame and no pad on the nose — the material rests directly against the bridge.
Each temple carries a raised gold-tone geometric block set into the outer face just behind the hinge, and the arm runs back flat from there. It is the only ornament on the piece and it is deliberately placed where it shows in profile rather than head-on.
The maker states a high-quality PC frame, chosen for impact and pressure resistance.

Why it costs what it costs
Setting a metal block into a moulded frame is a second operation on top of the moulding — the recess has to be cut and the piece seated so it sits flush rather than proud. The maker specifies a high-impact PC rather than the cheapest plastic that will hold the shape.

There is no shop floor between the frame and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price. What that money pays for instead is the build — an impact-resistant frame, a set metal ornament and a stated UV400 lens.

Is it too small for a wide face?
The rectangle is cut narrow, so it will read small on a wide face. That is the look rather than a fault.
Are the nose pads adjustable?
There are no pads. The bridge is moulded into the front, so the height on the nose is fixed by the design.
Are these polarised?
The maker states UV400 protection but does not state polarisation, so we do not claim it. UV400 is the protection figure; polarisation is a separate comfort feature.
Is PC the same as acetate?
No. PC is moulded rather than cut from sheet, and it takes an impact better than acetate does. Acetate holds a richer colour; PC holds a knock.
Will the gold block loosen?
It is set into a recess rather than glued to the surface, which is the construction that holds. Keeping the pair in its case rather than loose in a bag is what protects it.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with a soft cloth. Keep the frame away from heat — a car dashboard in summer is what warps a plastic frame, not wear.
One colourway, held in a small run
This is a single-run frame rather than a carried line. When the run is gone it is not automatically repeated, and a narrow black rectangle with real hardware on the temple is not a common thing at this price.
