High-Waisted
Printed Flares
High-waisted flared trousers in a stretch knit, in six printed patterns.
The flare starts at the knee. That is what makes the leg read long.
Where the flare begins decides everything
A flare that opens at the hip reads as a palazzo and shortens the leg. One that stays close to the knee and then opens does the opposite. It is a two-inch decision in the pattern and it is the whole difference between these and a wide-leg trouser.
A stretch knit, printed
It has a high-waisted flared trouser in a soft stretch knit with an elasticated waistband, cut long through the thigh and opening below the knee.
Six printed patterns are offered, all on the same cut.
How they wear
- A high, elasticated waistband
- Close through the thigh, open below the knee
- A soft stretch knit
- Six printed patterns
- One cut across all the patterns
The product
High-waisted flared trousers in a soft stretch knit with an elasticated waist, casual and comfortable, in six retro and floral prints.
Six patterns
Six prints are offered; five are shown here.
Why it costs what it costs
Printing on a stretch knit is harder than printing on a woven, because the cloth is already under tension on the machine and the pattern distorts the moment it relaxes. A print that still lines up down a flared leg has been compensated for that in the artwork.
