Flyaways are a different problem from styling
A serum treats the whole head and a comb moves whole sections. Neither does anything useful about the twenty short hairs standing up along a parting. A wand puts product exactly where those hairs are and nowhere else.

It has a styling wand applied with a brush head to smooth frizz along the hairline and parting, giving a strong, lasting hold and a natural, dry finish.

Why it costs what it costs
A brush head is more expensive to fill and cap than a nozzle, and it is the only part that matters: the bristles have to hold enough product to coat a few short hairs and release it without loading the roots underneath. That is the entire design problem.
